A reservation is secured with a 20% deposit ($799 per participant). The deposit is applied toward the total Hosted Mission price.
Because Tours of Duty must commit hotel accommodations, event venues, transportation, and mission programming well in advance, the following cancellation policy applies:
Reservation Deposit
- A $799 per person reservation deposit is required to reserve a place on the mission.
- Reservations are confirmed only after the deposit has been received and Tours of Duty has issued a written confirmation.
- Deposits are applied toward the total mission price.
Cancellation by Participant
- Cancellations made 120 days or more before departure will receive a full refund of the reservation deposit, less a $100 administrative processing fee per participant.
- Cancellations made 119–61 days before departure will receive a 50% refund of the reservation deposit.
- Cancellations made 60 days or fewer before departure are non-refundable, as Tours of Duty has committed resources and contractual obligations on behalf of participants.
- The remaining balance will be due no later than October 1, 2026. Failure to make payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the reservation.
Participants may transfer their reservation to another eligible individual with Tours of Duty’s written approval, subject to any supplier fees or name-change restrictions.
Cancellation by Tours of Duty
If Tours of Duty cancels the Hosted Mission before departure, participants will receive a full refund of all payments made directly to Tours of Duty. Tours of Duty is not responsible for independently purchased airfare, travel insurance, hotel nights booked outside the mission, or other personal travel expenses.
Tours of Duty reserves the right to decline or cancel a reservation prior to final confirmation. In such cases, any deposit paid will be fully refunded.
Tours of Duty is not responsible for cancellations, delays, or modifications resulting from acts of God, natural disasters, government actions, military restrictions, public health emergencies, labor disputes, or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
Changes to Programming
Mission programming, speakers, venues, schedules, transportation, and special events are subject to change due to operational requirements, availability, weather, security considerations, or circumstances beyond Tours of Duty’s control. Such changes do not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund.
Travel Insurance
Tours of Duty strongly recommends that participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, interruption, medical expenses, and travel delays.
By submitting a reservation deposit, participants acknowledge that they have read and accepted this Reservation Deposit & Cancellation Policy. Additional terms governing participation will be provided as part of the final Participant Agreement.
Participants are responsible for obtaining any required travel documents, arranging airfare, arriving at the designated meeting location on time, and maintaining appropriate travel insurance and personal health coverage.
Certain activities involve walking over uneven terrain and periods of standing. Participants are responsible for determining whether they are physically able to participate. Alternative arrangements may be available for some activities.
Tours of Duty may photograph or record portions of the Hosted Mission for educational, historical, and promotional purposes. By participating, guests grant Tours of Duty permission to use images or recordings in which they appear, unless they notify Tours of Duty in writing before the mission begins.
Pearl Harbor 85 is a hosted commemorative mission. Participation is intended for individuals who wish to honor the legacy of the Greatest Generation and support Tours of Duty’s educational and charitable mission.
